LESCATE designs and manufactures custom-built force sensors. Using strain gauges mounted in a Wheatstone bridge configuration, its sensors output a voltage proportional to the applied load, with sensitivity determined during the calibration phase. LESCATE controls the entire sensor manufacturing process, from identifying the loads to be measured through to final calibration, including sizing of the sensing element, machining and instrumentation. Your parts become sensors.
LESCATE has the capability to instrument your mechanical parts to create measurement solutions perfectly suited to your requirements, without modifying your assemblies and without integrating an off-the-shelf sensor. The goal is to transform a part originally dedicated to a mechanical function into a part that also performs a second function: force measurement.
LESCATE stands out for its expertise in instrumenting bolts and load-measuring pins. Faced with growing demand for insight into the loads carried by bolted assemblies, LESCATE has developed a technique for precisely measuring the loads transmitted through fasteners. Your original fasteners, regardless of material, are instrumented with miniature strain gauges, enabling single- or multi-component measurement (tension, bending, torsion, etc.). This approach delivers a precise map of the loads involved, particularly during tightening operations, and helps optimise assembly procedures using real measurement data. Fasteners can be instrumented from M2 upward. Similarly, connecting pins can be instrumented to become true load-measuring pins.
