We install strain gauges for deformation measurement on steel, titanium, composite and aluminium parts, engineered to perform in demanding environments : cryogenics, high temperatures, immersion in oil or water, pressurised conditions, rotating systems, high load factors and more. LESCATE also brings extensive expertise in the installation of thermocouples and pressure tubing. All of this work is carried out in our laboratory, under stabilised ambient conditions (pressure, temperature and humidity).
Our instrumentation technicians train for several years to reach the level of precision and rigour our clients demand. They draw on procedures, work instructions and techniques refined over 30 years, forming the core of LESCATE's expertise. Our facility can accommodate parts of any size, from a Ø2 mm pin up to a 1.7-tonne TGV axle. The wide variety of parts we receive for instrumentation has allowed us to develop specific expertise, particularly in handling large components (CACES3 forklift certification, unloading protocols…) as well as in designing and building equipment suited to instrumentation work (fixtures, positioning jigs, handling equipment, protective supports for client specimens…).
